Mrs. Emma Jarvis, of 306 W. Wabash Ave., at 102 one of Crawfordsville's oldest residents, died early today in Ben Hur Nursing Home where she had been a patient. Mrs. Jarvis was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former member of Flower Lovers Club. She was born here March 9, 1872. She moved with her parents to Bluff Mills, where her father was head of the woolen mills. She married Orville C. Jarvis. He died in 1947. Surviving are an older sister, 105-year-old Mary Orton of Ben Hur Nursing Home; a nephew, Richard Orton of Indianapolis; and a niece, Marjorie Orton of Columbia, Mo. A son, Raymond, is deceased. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Little officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.--waw
